In Redditch, Tristram Hunt MP took part in an unscripted Question and Answer session with local students.

Labour’s Shadow Education Secretary said that a future Labour government would focus on building stronger links between school education and businesses to ensure better careers advice and practical work experience for young people.

After the Q&A, Tristram Hunt MP said:

"The really significant thing we would want to do in government is rebuild careers advice. Under this Tory-led government we have seen the collapse of careers advice, the collapse of work experience, the division of schools from businesses and we very much want to rebuild those connections so people who want to go into the world of work rather than further or higher education have the capacity to do so.”
